Robert's Spa shares its business,
managerial and operational practices
with Michael Hunger, German
Hairstyling-Master, to facilitate
the opening of his own salon when he
returns to Germany. In return,
Michael Hunger is exchanging his
European flair and hairstyling
techniques with John Robert's
artistic and education team.
Michael Hunger contacted John
Robert's Spa in November 2006 to
learn the business side of one of
the Top 20 Salons in America. His
interest for the company started
after he read

Consultant, President of The

Robert's Spa. In his book, John
DiJulius has gathered companies'
best practices and created systems

enabled John Robert's Spa to become
one of the Top 20 Salons in America
and receive many business related
awards.
Michael Hunger saw here the
opportunity to not only earn
business and management skills from
a Top 20 American salon and spa, but
also to learn and share artistic and
technical skills with John Robert's
artistic and education team. Michael
Hunger is a German
Hairstyling-Master. He received
several nominations from the WELLA
academy, such as "Master in cut,
curl and styling', "Master in
Color', and "Master in Beauty'. He
also won several awards as stylist
on stage. He worked in European
cities such as Munich, Hamburg,
Basel, Vienna and London. Michael
also earned business management
skills, and writes his own column
about Trends and Styles for CLIPS,
the 2nd Hairdressing magazine in
Germany.
Since his arrival at John Robert's,
February 14th, 2007, Michael Hunger
has shared his time between the John
Robert's corporate office and the
various spa and salon locations,
where he contributes to the
continued advanced education of
stylists and designers, and takes
part in artistic projects (photoshoot,
fashion shows, etc). His presence at
John Robert's as a guest artist is
expected to last 4 months. Michael
will then return to Germany, open
his own salon and apply the John
Robert's practices to the German
business way.
