Cosmetology Scholarship

March 21 will be forever remembered
by the John Robert's Spa's team
members as they lost their leader
and inspiration in a tragic
automobile accident. Stacy DiJulius
was the founder of John Robert's
Spa, a nationally recognized,
upscale salon & spa. Stacy's
impact in people's lives and
careers, and her contribution as an
artistic icon to her team, make it a
necessity for John Robert's Spa as a
company to assure that her legacy
will continue. Because Stacy so
adamantly believed in and encouraged
education at all levels John
Robert's Spa decided to establish a
fund in her name, The Stacy
DiJulius Scholarship Fund, to
support others who, like her, had a
passion for the beauty industry, who
love to learn and inspire change in
the world, who truly want to enhance
the quality lives of others around
them.
The aim of the Stacy DiJulius
Scholarship Fund is to provide
opportunities to have a rewarding
career impacting people's lives. It
is for ambitious people aspiring to
make a significant impact in the
beauty industry. This scholarship
is designed to assist people who are
truly committed to having a long
term career as a licensed
cosmetologist, with their initial
tuition to cosmetology school. The
scholarship will be awarded annually
to one or more people who are
selected by a committee that
determine who will assess each
candidate based on the merits of the
Stacy DiJulius Scholarship Fund's
criteria:
Interested parties must first
complete an application in order to
be considered. Members of The
Stacy DiJulius Scholarship Fund
Board will select a group of
finalists from the application
process to interview further. The
Board will select the final winner(s)
based on results of the application
and interview process and will also
determine the amount that will be
awarded to each.
Rules and eligibility requirements
To be eligible to apply you must be
in your last year of high school, a
high school graduate, or have a GED.
Contestants with any prior industry
training or schooling are not
eligible to participate. Applicants
must complete all question sections
of the application and must be
submitted no later than August 2,
2009. Those selected to compete will
be contacted and invited to come in
for an interview. Finalist will be
awarded on August 22, 2009.
Scholarship must be used within 12
months. Check can only be submitted
towards an approved cosmetology
school.
