CLEAN WATER
For
five years, Aveda has made a remarkable
commitment to protecting clean water and
water rights through their limited edition
Light the Way candle. 100% of the purchase
price goes to support Global Greengrants
Fund's clean water projects, including some
in countries where Aveda sources their
ingredients.
Through Global Greengrants Fund, proceeds
from the candle and other Aveda Earth Month
fundraisers have made an invaluable impact
on communities worldwide - making clean,
accessible water a reality for tens of
thousands.
Thanks to your support, Earth Month 2010 was
a fantastic success in making a difference
for clean water. In 2010, the Aveda
community raised over $1.2 million from its
donation of 100% of the purchase price of
Light the Way candle plus, tens of thousands
more through other fundraisers to support
Global Greengrants Fund water-related
projects across the globe. Although 1 in 7
people lacks access to clean water,
inspiring leaders worldwide are, through the
Greengrants-Aveda partnership, taking action
to protect and improve water quality and
access in their own communities. Thank you
