Henna
is a natural product that is made
from the henna plant (Lawsonia
Inermis). The plant is dried and
made into a powder form. That powder
is hand mixed with lemon juice,
honey and an essential oil to form a
paste. The paste is applied to the
skin to stain and create a henna
tattoo.
Care for your henna.
When
the henna paste is dried, leave the
paste on for at least 2 hours. The
longer the paste is left on the
darker the design will be. It is
recommended to leave on overnight.
Some pieces will flake off with
movement but will not affect the
turn out of the henna tattoo. After
the paste is removed -over the next
24 hrs- the tattoo will get darker.
Everyone's skin dyes differently and
the length of time the henna tattoo
lasts depends on your skin. On
average, the henna tattoo lasts a
week.
